Stable Rebuild and Refurbishment

A rather interesting change to working on a regular extension! We were handed a completely ruined stable block to rebuild and refurbish. Before we made a start, we had to check for stability for the safety of our personnel. There was lots to remove and dispose of before we could attempt the rebuild. Risk assessment completed, we dismantled the old walls and roofs. We had to construct new roofs with new materials chosen by the client. We then constructed new walls and boarded the interiors as well as fitting special horse doors. After that we laid over 60 tons of concrete on a reinforced base with water run-off draining downhill from the stable building. A challenging project but the client and horses were both happy!
